A lifelong advocate of civil rights, Roxanne is proud to have her office in the historic Edna Griffin building in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. As a teenager, she worked as a waitress at the very lunch counter where Ms. Griffin, "Rosa Parks of Des Moines, Iowa" staged her protests over racial discrimination some ten years earlier.
